The Apple G5 cluster is fully functional again after being relocated to a campus data center. The iNquiry Bioinformatics Portal and Sun Grid Engine queues are available for use in bioinformatics analyses.

07/30/07
The Apple G5 cluster will be relocated from the Microbiology building to an ACNS data center in the Engineering building on Wednesday, August 1. The cluster will be down for approximately two days (July 31 - Aug. 1) during the move. Jobs that are currently executing on the cluster should finish by noon July 31 when the machine is formally shutdown. It is anticipated that the cluster will be available again at approximately 5:00pm on Aug. 1.

The Otava Chemicals small-molecule compound libraries have been added to the Center's vHTS compound library collection. The Otava libraries include 85,000 compounds for diversity oriented and focused, targeted screening campaigns in drug discovery. More information about the libraries and vHTS services is available in the vHTS pages.

06/27/07
Virtual High-Throughput Screening (vHTS).
vHTS services are now available in the Bioinformatics Center and on the Center's Apple G5 cluster. vHTS permits screening of small-molecule compound libraries for new drug compounds, and is used in drug discovery, design, and development. More information about the service is available in the vHTS pages.
